stream of consciousness

We’re such creatures of habit that we underprocess the insane reality that goes on around us. Things just happen to us. And we just go with it.

We get one shot at experiencing reality and we spend it trying to get money so we can be fed, feel safe and entertained, get more stuff to make us seem successful in the eyes of those whose biochemistry dictated that they feel something towards us, whether it be love or hate or jealousy or pity or a billion-billion different mixes of emotions which we don’t have words for. Hopefully, if we feel healthy and someone else likes us enough, we make little copies of ourselves and the idea is to instill the “right” values in them so they do the same things as we do but better.

We vote and grocery shop and play games and have sex and cook meals and shit and piss until we’re too old to do those things by ourselves then we pay someone to do those things for us using the money we earned when we were still healthy and capable enough to do them ourselves until we need other people and machines to do those things for us entirely until someone decides to pull the plug or we run out of will to live.

But you get to go to the grocery store and see all those beautiful oranges shipped from some place in Spain or Florida or who even cares any more. You get to ask a stranger what type of dog they’re walking. By using your thumbs, you get to hear Mozart’s music, composed over 300 years ago, transmitted using invisible particles of light shooting into your phone which is made of dead dinosaurs. You get to write specific patterns which symbolize the electric signals firing in your brain on pieces of dead trees, then put those trees in a different piece of dead trees and write different patterns which other people know that that those patterns mean a place on Earth and you get to lick a stamp, put it on the dead trees and it’ll go to the place that you wrote down.

We’re pieces of MEAT on a ROCK in SPACE.

How did we all just decide that everything that’s normal is normal…

If you hit the reset button on normality once in everyone’s lifetime, I would bet a large sum of money that we’d have way more crazy people and way more happy people.

Not to mention that we just have to accept that there are a shit ton of other stars like our Sun with other rocks that orbit that star at a range which the laws of physics state that life on that rock is not only possible but probable.

NOT TO MENTION that the laws of physics are mathematical! NUMBERS. We can use math to describe what’s happening around us. Some believe that everything around us can be described by numbers thereby completely eliminating free will.
